Understanding what a dental visit will cost should never feel complicated. At The Gentle Dentist in Centurion, we keep our fees clear, so you know what to expect before you sit in the chair.
How Our Fees Work
We use a hybrid rates model. For most procedures, we submit claims directly to selected medical aids according to their prescribed rates. A Practice Levy of R300 per appointment applies to every visit. This levy is not covered by medical aids and is payable on the day of your appointment.
If you do not have medical aid, our rates are based on Profmed’s published rates, with the R300 Practice Levy per appointment also included. We ask private patients to settle their account in full on the day of the appointment.
Do You Accept My Medical Aid?
We work with a number of medical aids, though we are not a designated network provider for any of them. Please note that even if your medical aid scheme is listed below, certain specific options or plans require you to see only a designated network dentist. If your plan has this restriction, your medical aid will not cover your treatment with us. We strongly advise confirming with your medical aid prior to your appointment whether your plan covers treatment under our Practice Number (0988898). Please be aware that you remain fully responsible for settling any account short payment or rejected claims.

Below are estimated costs for common dental treatments. Actual treatment needs and costs may vary, and rates differ depending on your medical aid. The R300 Practice Levy is already included in these estimates.

Our facial aesthetics treatments are tailored to each patient, and in some cases a combination of products is used to achieve a natural-looking result. Prices below are listed per product or per unit. Your practitioner will discuss your treatment plan and the exact cost with you at your consultation.

Payment Options and Plans
We offer a range of payment options to make dental and aesthetic care easier to manage, including:
- Medical Aid Claims: We submit claims for dental treatments directly to selected medical aids.
- Card, Cash and EFT: We accept debit cards, credit cards, cash and EFT payments made at the practice.
- 0% Interest Payment Plans for Orthodontic Treatment: Spread your payments over the treatment period with no interest
- RCS Store Cards: Use your RCS store account to pay for your treatment. Visit www.rcs.co.za/our-products/store-card to apply for a card.
- Mediwallet: Pay in three instalments with 0% interest, or choose a longer repayment term of up to 18 months, with interest applying after three months. Visit www.mediwallet.co.za, download the app, or call 087 210 0336 to set up your facility before your appointment.
