Dr Nicolene Uys is a compassionate and purpose-driven dentist whose mission is to create a generation of patients who feel confident, calm, and even excited about visiting the dentist. Her warm, engaging approach has made her a favourite with both children and adults alike.

She graduated from the University of Pretoria, she later completed her Postgraduate Diploma in Paedodontics, specialising in children’s oral health and behaviour management. Her deep understanding of young patients’ needs makes her especially skilled at creating a calm and positive environment for little ones.

In addition to her strong foundation in paediatric and family dentistry, Dr Uys has developed a keen clinical interest in orthodontics and early interceptive treatment. She enjoys helping growing smiles develop in a healthy, harmonious way, often guiding children through early orthodontic care that can prevent more complex problems later on. She also works with teens and adults using clear aligner therapy and other modern orthodontic solutions to help patients achieve beautiful, functional smiles at any age.

At The Gentle Dentist, Dr Uys combines clinical precision with a heartfelt dedication to making every patient feel seen, safe, and supported, no matter their age or dental history.

When she’s not in the practice, Dr Uys enjoys hunting for rare vinyl records, exploring new cuisines, and spending quality time with her family and friends. She believes that life, like a smile, is best when shared.
