Dr Maureen van Eyk is a compassionate and highly skilled dentist with a holistic approach to oral healthcare. With dual qualifications in both dentistry and nursing, she brings a unique depth of clinical insight and empathy to every patient interaction.

After graduating from the University of Pretoria she began her career with a strong foundation in family-focused care. Before dentistry, she also qualified as a Registered Nurse, an experience that shaped her calm, attentive, and deeply human approach to treatment.

At The Gentle Dentist, Dr van Eyk is known for her ability to put patients at ease and tailor each treatment plan to the individual’s needs, goals, and comfort levels. She is especially passionate about restorative dentistry, aesthetic treatments, and helping patients regain confidence in their smiles through personalised, stress-free care.

She has also expanded her scope to include facial aesthetics, having completed additional training in toxin and filler treatments. Her approach focuses on enhancing natural beauty in subtle, thoughtful ways that align with each patient’s unique features.
